The eighth ornament of Christmas is a felt birdie made by one of my maternal grandparents. Now that we’re 2/3 of the way through this series, I wanted to make sure to encourage you to check out some of the previous installments:
First Ornament of Christmas (vintage felt ice skater)
Second Ornament of Christmas (easy DIY poinsettia)
Third Ornament of Christmas (scroll-sawed snowflakes)
Fourth Ornament of Christmas (plastic canvas poinsettia & birdie)
Fifth Ornament of Christmas (bedazzled felt boot)
Sixth Ornament of Christmas (painted puzzle piece candy cane & snowflake)
Seventh Ornament of Christmas (lace & pipe cleaner wreaths)
My favorite features on this ornament are the cute stitching detail on its wings, and the visible stitching on the seams. Don’t you think a small fleet of these birdies would make a great retro-rific mobile in a kids’ room? Keep scrolling to check out some close-ups!
