Knitting brioche can be fun and challenging! Last year around this time, I introduced you to knitting two color brioche knitting in the round as part of the Funkasonic Knit Along. This month, as part of the Exquisite Mystery Knit Along, I thought it would be fun to incorporate some brioche in the design once again.(Lost? Learn all about the Knit Along here.) Each week of this knit along, I’ll be sharing video tutorials to help guide you through the most challenging techniques featured in the pattern. After all, January is selfish knitting month, so why not grab the Exquisite Mystery pattern and expand your knitting skill set while making something beautiful?
First up in this week’s tutorials, we’re looking at how to knit two color brioche flat. Last year, we used two color brioche knit in the round to add a super stretchy cuff to the mittens and socks we made. This year, we’re working flat and using brioche to create some funky vertical stripes. Tune in later this week for more tutorials to take your brioche knitting to the next level!
