The Read Along Knit Along has begun! It’s not too late to cast on the Rick & Roll Socks and crack open a copy of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. RALKAL is a really fun and relaxed knit along, with only a few ground rules:
- Join us on Ravelry in the discussion group
- Discuss the pattern in this thread
- Discuss part 1 of the book in this one
- Discuss part 2 here
- Read the book by April 1 – at 278 pages, it’s a quick read!
- Knit a pair of Rick & Roll Socks by April 1 (Or at least one sock – RALKAL is a judgement free zone!)
- Enter to win a skein of ColorPurl sock yarn in Deep Space – the exact yarn the Rick & Roll Socks were designed with – & a copy of Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns – the stitch dictionary in which I found the rick rack rib stitch featured in this design. Really, that’s all there’s to it! It’s a blast, and we just kicked off over the weekend. Both the socks and books are quick, so this is a low-impact, high-reward kinda knit along. We’d love to have you join in.
