Starting next week, I’m going to be sharing 12 ornaments of  Christmas, for the two weeks leading up to the holiday. Some will be antiques made by my family over the years, and some will be new creations of my own. Stay tuned, but for now, check out how to make a festive wreath for a dining room or entryway. As I post each of the 12 ornaments of Christmas, I’ll hang them from this wreath, day by day.
Supplies
1 hula hoop
unlit holiday garland
fishing line
5 paper clips
ceiling hook
Directions
Wrap your hula hoop in the garland. The garland I used had posable branches, which made wrapping the hoop easier.
At this point, I added some pearl garland I had laying around for pizzazz. Next, measure the distance across your hoop and add a couple inches. Cut four pieces of fishing line at that length.
Thread a piece of string around your hoop and tie it into a circle.
Attach the other three pieces of string in the same way, spaced equally around the circle.
Tape the knot in each string to the hula hoop. Attach a paper clip to each fishing line loop and hook the four of those to a fifth paper clip.
If you need to install your ceiling hook, do so now. Then hang your wreath from the hook with the fifth paper clip. Voila!
