Nothing beats a good earring DIY. They’re super quick and easy, plus they’re easy to show off (which is always kind of fun ;) ). These earrings were inspired by some vintagey crafting papers I found in my stash. The chic lady in black and white, combined with a gold glitter finish, result in a lightweight accessory that goes with almost any outfit.
Supplies
2 sets of Mod Podge Podgeable Shapes, Basic Designs – use one long rectangle from each
scissors
Mod Podge Podgeable Papers in Classic
Mod Podge Matte
2 earwires
2 7mm jump rings
jewelry pliers
extreme glitter acrylic paint
paint brush
sponge brush
Directions
Begin by cutting out your preferred vintage ladies from the Mod Podge papers. You can also select an image you find elsewhere, scale it to fit your earring shapes, print and cut out two of them.
Paint a layer of Mod Podge onto each earring shape, and line up your paper cut-outs on each shape, face down.
Paint a second layer of Mod Podge over the back of the paper. Let dry completely.
Flip your earrings over, blank side up. Paint a generous layer of glitter paint over it, spreading some of the paint away from the face of your vintage lady (if you used an image with a face).
After the paint dries, attach two earwires to your earrings with jump rings.
Like this project? I originally designed it for Mod Podge Rocks.
