In the latest reader survey, you guys said you’re interested in seeing what sort of tools I use to knit. By far my most-used knitting needles are interchangeable circulars. There are a few brands I like to use, depending on my mood and the project or fiber I’m working with. One of those go-to brands is Knitter’s Pride. Lightweight and warm to the touch, the Knitter’s Pride Karbonz knitting needles are really easy to work with and virtually unbreakable. I always look forward to casting on projects with these needles.
When appropriately tightened with the “keys,” Karbonz interchangeable needles don’t have a catching issue between the cord and the needle tip – a common issue I’ve run into time and again with other interchangeable needle sets from a variety of brands. For very observant knitters, you might notice the slightest catch between the needle tips and the Karbonz’s bodies, but I was so enamored by the smooth glide of my stitches along the Karbonz’s bodies that I really didn’t notice anything but smooth sailing on the needles as I worked with them.
My only real critique of the interchangeable Karbonz is with the cables. While they broke in quickly, the first few projects I knit with my circular Karbonz were marred with a little bit of frustration at the cables wanting to stay in the shape they came in, a.k.a. at their “memory.” I’ve run into this hurdle with other needles, though, and the memory issue is essentially moot after you break them in. The smooth handling of the tips & needle bodies alone is drool-worthy, so I would absolutely not let the fact that the cables needed a bit of breaking in keep you from getting your hands on a pair of Karbonz circulars or a set of Knitter’s Pride’s interchangeable circulars.
Speaking of which…

I’ve currently got a set of KnitPicks interchangeable needles, but recently knit a project on a Karbonz circular (not interchangeable) and loved it. It’d be great to have a set of interchangeables!
lesley
i am currently trying to teach myself how to knit with books and videos so this would be perfect

Look at me – being first and everything. I’d LOVE to add these to my knitting tool collection. I’ve read nothing but good about them.

Oh my goodnesssss that interchangeable needle is so useful!… Im learning on knitting all this while and been learning it online. Not easy for me to get a good website and video like yours. In Malaysia, it is quite difficult to get all these tools. Even if I get one of the good one is could cost very expensive!
Jacqui
I have a set of straights and a one circular. Instant favorite. Even over my trusty addis
Shelby
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these needles. I have a 32″ circs in US 1 & 2 for sock knitting and would love to have a set of interchangeables for my other projects! Thanks for offering this giveaway.
Julie
I’ve so wanted to try the karbonz, but haven’t yet- they look amazing! Oh, and I find that dunking cables with a ‘memory’ into a mug of hot water relaxes them and makes them much easier to work with.
Heidi
That’s a fantastic tip, thank you!
Brittany
I have the Dreamz but I’m really curious about Karbonz. I like my needles but I somehow snapped one of my Dreamz while knitting so maybe something sturdier might be in order.
Linda
I’ve never used interchangeable needles and I’d love to own a set. These look great.

I’ve always wanted a set of interchangeables, but they were too pricey for me and then when I save my pennies I had idea which ones to get since I can only get one set. Thanks for the info.
margaret price
I love that they are all organized in a case — I have a few addi’s that are quite a few years old and they get all tangled! I’m hoping!
Marilyn
I have been eyeing those needs at WEBS for a while now and would LOVE to win a set!
Leesa
I have not tried knitting in the round yet as it looks kinda complicated yet would like to try seeing as it seems to be the next step for my knitting.

These needles are incredible! I tried a set, then promptly gave them away to a reader. I’m happy she won them but was super sad to send them away! Love the tips, love the cables, love that they still feel warm like wood, but the metal tips wont wear down. They’re just awesome.
Becky
I’ve been researching this set – thanks for the review and giveaway!
Tea
I actually have never used interchangeable needles, but am absolutely dying to get my hands on a set. I am very interested to try this particular set as carbon fiber sounds like the perfect needle. This midi set is perfect too, as it has the needle sizes that i use the most. Thank you for this lovely giveaway and for the opportunity to win them.

I’m currently using another brand to knit my scarf, and while they are decent, I do have an issue with the connectors snagging my yarn.
Jean

I actually have a million circular needles that I’ve amassed over my 10 years of knitting (only need to buy them once, or 3 times if you use a lof of size 8s!) but one of my best friends has just started teaching herself to knit and a hat is the next thing on her list. I would love to give these to her to help her hobby along and because she’s wonderful.
Ronnie G
For Lent, I began knitting for charity- I knit a ton of cute hats for women undergoing chemotherapy in honor of my sister in law, who herself is battling breast cancer… I couldn’t stop when Easter came… still knitting for charity. This week I am knitting KNOCKERS for women who have undergone mastectomy but are not eligible for reconstructive surgery. The required cotton yarn is very expensive, so I could only afford some (cheapo) fixed circular needles- I have had to stop several times and smooth them with sandpaper!!!!. I would USE THESE KARBONZ like M*A*D*!!!!!I have read many reviews of them and winning them would be like a dream come true and would speed up my charity knitting.

I have a huge collection of circulars……but this is one I don’t have (yet!). While I would love to win……..I am going to wonder over to the site and just see if any happen to follow me home………..Thanks for the into to a new product and a chance to win……..
Julie
I’ve never had the chance to knit with interchangeable needles, and i’d love to try!
Glori
I love knitters pride. They are awesome!
Dutch
I would love to try the Karbonz interchangeable needles.
Kathy
I didn’t even realize there is such a thing as interchangeable needles! Even though I’ve been knitting for a few years, I am still a beginner. But, I am working on it daily now. I would love to have these needles, partly because the needle carrier I have is bulging. The idea that needles can be warm to the touch is intriguing. Thank you for sharing on your blog.
Sarah rahamim
I only use circulars. Modular is great because you can change the length for larger or smaller projects!
Brenda C.
Id love to win. I have tried the Carbonz, and I really liked them!

I have heard great things about those needles. Would love to try them.
Beverley
I’d love to try these, having attempted to use circular needles in the past, but given up in frustration.
craftyone
i would expand my knitting experience. (i’m a beginner)
Anne Marie
I’ve been dying to try the Karbonz.
Jennifer
I haven’t tried interchangeable needles in 20 years. I didn’t like the ones I had because the yarn would always catch on the connection point. Maybe these are different and improved?
Ginny Jones
Heidi, thanks for this opportunity to win a Karbonz set. I would really like to have a set that’s interchangeable. They look like the perfect set for any knitter. I know why some people can get discouraged with knitting when using tools which aren’t made well. I’m sure these will hold up for years to come.

I an a new knitter. I have knit and felted 3 purses and 7 credit card holders. I love it. It would be nice to try out and use a new tool! Thanks for the chance to win.

The reason why I would love to win these wonderful knitting needles,is I started knitting last fall.I have some really old aluminum ones my mom had,and I have tried the bamboo but they just are not for me.I love the ease of interchangeable,I have tried a pattern that requires different size needle,How awesome would it be to just change it up and back to knitting.
Toni
Fabulous review! I’m new to knitting, and excited for the chance to win.
Lumy Santos
I have used the Karbonz DPNs. And I love them! Would like to complete my collection of needles with these interchangeables. I hope I have the luck of winning them!
Lisa
I first learned to knit on knitters pride dreamz straights. Love everything I’ve used by them!
D. Peal
I loved the Karbonz DPNs I used and would love to use them as actual needles since I use circulars excusively due to pain with straights. I haven’t had much iasue with the cord memory though, myself. Knitters Pride is my go to brand for most things.
mary
I have Boye circulars, would love to try out more premium needles.
Laura
I’ve tried their DPNs, would love to see how the IC work.
G.W. aka TallGrrl
I stopped using DPNs to knit socks a few years ago until…I saw a set of Karbonz and needed them because they *look* so badass!
I didn’t expect them to feel *this* good to where I actually went back and knitted a pair of socks with them!
I finished one sock and immediately started the second sock!
I love how they feel and even a co-worker said they look impressive.
Steven
I tried the Karbonz DPNs with some socks and they didn’t live up to my expectations. Maybe I was expecting too much; I’m more of a circulars kind of guy. I’d be willing to give the Karbonz circulars a fair shot if I won them.
Courtney Pedersen
I have a set of Boye and of Addis interchangeable needles I have issues with both and would love to try out this set!
Love the site!
Omeghan
I would have loved to have my name entered for this fabulous give away BUT the finer print states not available to Canadians……*sighs* Oh well… They are a great needle regardless and I would have appreciated trying them out had I won.
asteride
Never tried Karbonz! I’d love to have these beauties!
Caity
I am just starting to knit (after years of crochet) and need to build up my stock of knitting tools. These would be a great addition!
