My mom randomly sent me an email out of nowhere a couple weeks ago bearing the somewhat cryptic message, “Call me and I’ll tell you the story.” The email had a few images attached:
My instant reaction was, of course, to call my mom and say, “Uh, Why? Where? What?” Laughing, my mom explained that she was helping my grandma organize her house and found these little buddies in a box, along with some  50-year-old (literally) faux fur, googly eyes, felt and other craft supplies.
To make these critters, you cut a piece of fur large enough to cover an empty  baby food jar and glue it in place. Two ovals of felt can be glued onto the jar for feet, and they can be accessorized to cover the seams. The eyes are obviously googly eyes, and the muzzles are coiled pipe cleaners. Pretty weird, eh?
My mom also sent a couple pictures of some faux fur roses they found when they were cleaning too. Check ’em out.
