To kick off this new series, I want to share my favorite craft tip of all time. Pretty much all crafters for the last 50 years or so are haunted by hours spent wrestling Aleene’s Tacky Glue out of its signature bronze and purple bottle. (You can even see where the ink has worn off my Tacky Glue above!) There’s a reason this supply has remained a staple in craft stashes for generations – it’s strong, versatile, and thick.
The difficulty many experience getting the Tacky Glue out of the bottle can be easily alleviated with one simple trick! When you sit down to work on a project, grab a heavy jar or cup and put your glue in there upside down. By the time you need the glue, it’s all at the tip of the bottle, ready to go. In particular, I recommend busting out a glass measuring cup (like a Pyrex) because the glue bottle, when placed in the spout, won’t roll around. Simple.

My glue has turned gummy in the bottle. Never been opened. Is there a way to get it to return to a fluid state?
