This Saturday is my first-ever trunk show, and it’s at Chicago’s own Nina! Any chance I get to hang out with knitters, surrounded in yarn, is pretty fantastic. I’ll be at Nina from 1 to 5 with samples of some of my favorite pattern designs, and I’ll be doing a Q&A session about knit design. If you’re feeling indecisive, I can help you pick colors & yarn for your takes on any of my patterns. In addition, Nina will have drinks and desserts, a shopping discount, a special gift with purchase and a raffle prize drawing at the end of the day. I can’t wait to see everyone there!
Nina’s shop, which I’ve written about before here and here, is a “sleek, calm space [that] has been described as a Zen temple to fiber,” according to their website. Personally, I’d say Nina looks like if Ikea and the Container Store teamed up to open a yarn shop-slash-yoga studio in the best way. The librarian in me loves how all of the yarns have their place – everything is very orderly. The orderliness helps highlight the range of colors in which each yarn is available, and if you know me at all, you know that I love color! So if you’re in the Chicago area this weekend, come check out Nina at 1655 W Division Street, hang out with me, and maybe even win a prize!
