Yesterday marked the beginning of my 12 ornaments of Christmas series with this adorable vintage take on Sunbonnet Sue. Today, I want to share the ornament I made at Sunday’s Urban Folk Circuit Market at Chicago’s Glenwood Bar.
Supplies
1 toilet paper tube
scissors
a one-hole punch
a 6-inch piece of string
Directions
All pictures in this post were taken by Tuesday of Muggy Tuesday. Many thanks to her!
Flatten your toilet paper tube, and cut it into six equal pieces.
Punch two holes near the same end of each piece of tube. Then, thread each ‘petal’ onto your string.
Tie your string tightly without tearing the petals. Secure in a knot before tying both ends of the string together, forming a loop. And you’re done!

Wow! That’s really cute and easy! I love making things from stuff most people throw away.
