Once again, we welcome Bijou Basin Ranch and Feel Good Yarn Company as sponsors this month, and I’m not mad about it. Both BBR and FGY are great companies to work with as a blogger and indie designer, and I sincerely enjoy their yarns. I feel so lucky because saying this every month makes me feel like a broken record! Read on to learn about my favorite new things from Bijou Basin Ranch & Feel Good Yarn Co. this month.

BBR’s Qiviut Sock Yarn in Northern Lights
There’s always something going on at Bijou Basin Ranch. Recently, I’ve been going gaga over their qiviut yarn. You heard me – qiviut. I’m going to be a really bad librarian here and cite Wikipedia’s description of what the heck qiviut is: “an Inuktitut word commonly used to indicate the wool of the muskox. […] It is valued for its use as a fiber as, unlike sheep’s wool, it does not shrink in water at any temperature.” Think about working with a natural animal fiber that doesn’t shrink or felt. Crazy, right? BBR has recently restocked its qiviut yarn in over a dozen colors, so you should definitely take a look. :)

Pinecone Hat & Mitts by Annie Rowden pic via
How cute is the new Little One collection by Annie Rowden? Designed with Feel Good Yarn Company’s SilverSpun yarn, the collection features a bunch of adorable patterns for newborns. In particular, the Pinecone Hat and Mittens pictured above are terribly sweet, and they look like they’d come together super fast. I’ve got some friends with new babies – this collection makes me want to get my hands on some SilverSpun and whip up some gifts!
