Can you tell I’m excited about my new Remy Pullover? I love the cables, it matches my crazy hair, it matches my nails (if you haven’t noticed, those are kind of a big deal to me color-wise!), and it fits great. I am all about it! I wanted the Remy to be a really comfortable sweater that’s warm, but not too warm. The cables and demi-boatneck collar lend it to doubling as both a casual and formal sweater. After knitting a whole, human-sized sweater, you want it to be useful, right? I thought so. :)
If you missed out on knitting along with us this fall, that’s ok! You can get the pattern in the full knit along archive (for the Remy Pullover KAL as well as last spring’s top-down sock KAL, by the way!). And here are shortcuts to each part of the Remy’s pattern:
calculating gauge & the sweater body / sleeve 1 / sleeve 2 / how to attach the sleeves / how to knit a raglan decrease / how to knit the collar
It was really windy when my husband helped me take these shots, so I figured I’d take advantage of the natural wind machine and get my catwalk on in the middle of an urban park. Why not? :)
Congratulations to the giveaway winner!
Big congrats to Twitterer Betty for winning the prize pack from Lion Brand Yarn. Thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway, particularly those who entered with #handsoccupiedkal and with each completed section of their sweater. It was so awesome getting to watch every one of your sweaters take shape!
Finally, I want to say a HUGE thank you to Lion Brand Yarn for bringing you the Remy knit along! It was fun getting to design with a yarn as popular as Wool Ease. I loved knowing it was a yarn that is available in most craft stores and has such a range of colors to work with. It’s such an awesome yarn for first time sweater knitters too – since it’s 80% acrylic, it’s really user friendly, and shouldn’t have shrinking or bleeding issues.
The Remy Pullover knit along was brought to you by Lion Brand Yarns, which you can follow on Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Pinterest.
