This DIY is so simple, easy and fun, you might just be tempted to make five pairs for yourself and one for each of your friends. Inspired by the glint in a hollywood cartoon smile and the twinkle in a mischievous eye, these cheeky sunglasses will add a pinch of fun flair to your summer wardrobe!
Supplies
sun glasses
gloss formula Mod Podge
painter’s tape
Mod Podge Peel ‘n Stick Stencils in Starlite
ultra fine glitter
paint brush
acrylic Mod Podge sealer
Directions
This is a DIY that literally takes just 5 minutes if you don’t count dry time, which doesn’t take all that long either. Start by cleaning and drying your sunglasses. Then place one opening of your starlite stencil where you’d like your glint to appear on your glasses, covering any unnecessary openings with painter’s tape. Paint a thick layer of Mod Podge over your stencil with a paint brush.
While the Mod Podge is still wet, pinch our pour some glitter over it until you’ve got good coverage. Also while it’s still wet, carefully peel off your stencil. Let your Mod Podge and glitter dry completely before painting a layer of acrylic sealant over the starburst to finish your sun glasses.
Than just let the sealant dry, and you’re set!
Look familiar? I originally shared this idea over at Mod Podge Rocks!, but I love how easy and tongue in check these are that I thought it would be fun to spread the DIY love over here. :)
