Since today is a holiday weekend for many of you, I decided I’d take a sort-of break and share just a bit of my week today. The humongous highlight was attending my first American Library Association Conference as it was held in my town, Chicago. I got to learn a lot about hackerspaces/makerspaces in libraries, and I got to present a little bit on the role of crafting in teaching young people how to be makers and create with their own hands. It was really cool. Even the part when 26-year-old-me was mistaken for a teenager at my own presentation. :)
