Whiskey Party Roundup

For those of you who might have missed my posts about my husband’s 30th birthday party, here’s some background. Last weekend, I threw him every Southern boy’s dream event: a whiskey-themed blowout featuring biscuits, pies, a butter bar, jerky, and PIE! The inspiration for the party was the American South and the Irish proverb What whiskey will not cure there is no cure for.

Our darling, awesomest-ever cousin Dan took pictures at the party as I scurried around making sure everything went smoothly. Since pictures are worth a thousand words (and Dan’s photos are great), I should just stop typing and let you scroll through these excellent portraits of our incredibly fun event…

^ This is my favorite picture of the most delicious pie, a chocolate caramel bourbon  chess pie, created by the incredibly brilliant Megan of Bang Bang Pie, the venue for husband’s party. Megan is also adorable and very nice. ^

The gentleman whose back is to the camera in this one is Michael, another Bang Bang owner. He was so helpful throughout the night, as was the third member of the Bang Bang team, David, who isn’t pictured. Really, go to Bang Bang Pies next time you’re in Chciago. You won’t be disappointed.
