Since the holidays are barreling toward us all like a runaway train, today I’m going to go ahead & share some favorite WIP shots and finished projects from RALKAL. These shots all came from the lovely Hands Occupied Ravelry Group, where we’ve been discussing The Night Circus as we knitted our mystery infinity scarves, and from folks on Instagram who have shared their progress using #ralkal & #scarfofdreams.
RALKALIRL
I want to give Chicago’s Firefly Fiber Arts (a favorite local yarn shop)a huge shoutout today too! They so graciously allowed me to host the first ever in-person Read Along Knit Along weekly meetup, aptly nicknamed RALKALIRL, in their shop every Friday night for the last 6 weeks. This coming Friday, we’ll be hosting a final RALKALIRL where we’ll have a fashion show for everyone who completed The Scarf of Dreams, and I can’t wait to share the action. We’ll also have our drawing for our RALKALIRL prize pack, which should be fun. For a peek at the fun we’ve been having at Firefly this fall, check out #ralkalirl on Instagram, and if you’re in the Chicago area, you’re welcome to join us from 4-8 pm this Friday, 11/17. :)
Last call for the RALKAL giveaway!
The RALKAL prize pack is open for entries for a couple more days (I’ll post the winner in the Ravelry Group and in the next Picks of the Week). I am so excited to learn I won! I enjoyed this RAL/KAL so much that I feel like I won a prize already with my beautiful cowl! This was also my first venture in to audio books and I’m hooked now. Thank you for a wonderful experience and the lovely prize!,
